Senior WordPress Developer

We are seeking an experienced Senior WordPress Developer to join our dynamic team and play a pivotal role in shaping the digital presence of our SaaS platform.

Objectives

As a Senior WordPress Developer, you will:

1. Develop, maintain, and enhance Woliba’s WordPress-based websites, ensuring they align with our brand and deliver a seamless user experience.
2. Implement custom themes, plugins, and functionality that support the goals of our business and improve user engagement.
3. Optimize website performance, scalability, and security to support rapid business growth.
4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including marketing, design, and product to translate business needs into effective digital solutions.
5. Stay ahead of WordPress and web development trends to incorporate modern best practices and innovative solutions into our digital strategies.

Deliverables

1. Custom Development:
   • Design and implement custom WordPress themes and plugins tailored to our brand and business requirements.
   • Integrate APIs and third-party tools into WordPress to extend functionality.
2. Website Optimization:
   • Ensure high performance and responsiveness across devices by optimizing website load times, code, and server configurations.
   • Implement SEO best practices and accessibility standards to enhance visibility and usability.
3. Maintenance and Troubleshooting:
   • Regularly update WordPress core, themes, and plugins to maintain security and compatibility.
   • Troubleshoot and resolve website issues promptly, minimizing downtime and user impact.
4. Collaboration and Communication:
   • Partner with designers to ensure pixel-perfect execution of designs on the web.
   • Work with marketing teams to integrate analytics, tracking, and conversion tools seamlessly.
5. Documentation and Knowledge Sharing:
   • Create and maintain detailed documentation for custom themes, plugins, and workflows.
   • Mentor junior developers and share best practices to uplift the team’s technical capabilities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Web Development, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• 5+ years of professional experience as a WordPress developer, with expertise in custom theme and plugin development.
• Proficient in PHP, JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, CSS3, and responsive design principles.
• Experience with WordPress APIs, REST APIs, and integrations with external platforms.
• Strong knowledge of web performance optimization, security best practices, and SEO techniques.
• Familiarity with modern development tools like Git, Docker, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

• Experience with SaaS platforms or workplace wellbeing solutions.
• Familiarity with design tools like Figma or Adobe XD.
• Knowledge of React, Vue.js, or other front-end frameworks.
